Erik Ambrus, the manager of our new Park Ridge branch, grew up in nearby Mount Prospect and still lives there. Erik is a great blend of interests. His BA from Northeastern Illinois is in English. He’s an outdoorsman, has toured all over the US, and hiked a majority of our National Parks. He’s also an avid fisherman, going to the Hayward, WI area since he was a kid, fishing for the elusive Muskie. And although he’s a NW side guy, he’s a serious White Sox fan. Very serious.
Erik has literally learned banking from the ground up. He began his career as a teller at Washington Mutual Bank in 2006, rising to Senior Banker by 2009. At MB Financial from ’09 to ’19, he was eventually responsible for multiple branches. We were lucky to “land” Erik in 2019. (Apologies for the fishing analogy.) Erik served on our Business Banking team for several years and will now run the Park Ridge branch.
Stop by Park Ridge and meet Erik! Swap fish stories! Talk baseball! And Banking!
Danny Adler is known as the go-to guy for creative solutions to small business, commercial and retail banking questions. Danny solves problems and gets things done. And as a result, has very happy clients.
Danny launched his banking career at MB Financial in 2011 and grew through multiple assignments in all facets of the business. He became a Lakesider in 2020 and is now the Assistant Branch Manager at our newest branch, Park Ridge.
He began his college education at NYU, studying acting, and graduated from Northeastern Illinois with a BA in history. Danny remains a history (and science) fan, reading textbooks for fun! He’s a Chicago guy through and through and loves exploring the city. He’s big on travel, and dotes on his wife Victoria, son Jacob (with a second son on the way!) and dog Ringo. He also takes great pride in his garden. And he’s a very loyal White Sox guy who loves to tailgate before games. Stop by and meet Danny, soon!
Pat built her unique HR skills through hands-on experience. Forty years of banking HR! There is no need, no issue, no opportunity, Pat hasn’t addressed and learned from. So, she handles literally everything with remarkable poise. She’s as comfortable in a Board meeting as she is welcoming a new Banker she hired on their first day. Pat has run the HR department at Lakeside Bank for over six years. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from DePaul University.
Pat has unique advantages that provide a powerful “emotional antenna”: She grew up in a large family. And then raised a large family. How PERFECT for a career in human resources! Having six siblings meant Pat had to learn and negotiate relationships at a very early age! And then, married to her best friend for 37 years, Pat raised six kids! (Three girls and three boys--Shades of the Brady Bunch! ) Speaking of shades, five of her six kids have hair in various shades of red, so the McNulty clan has always been instantly recognizable in Elmwood Park, where they’ve lived for 34 years.
This love of family … and the day-to-day experience of managing family … is Pat’s north star. Pat understands people. She treats Lakesiders as her extended family. (As if she needed more kids!) Lakesiders from every department and every branch know Pat is remarkably easy to talk to and a superb listener. The need for that skill comes with the territory, but Pat is a natural.
Pat is also a competitor; she grew up playing softball in leagues all over the city. And she works at golf, although she reports it’s more about being with friends and laughing. She also coached volleyball and softball for many years. She’s a lifelong Cubs fan. And loves going to college football and basketball games with her family. Adding to her well-roundedness, Pat enjoys concerts. All genres, but especially Country. And Rock. And lastly, but very importantly, Pat is a thankful Breast Cancer Survivor.
Pat is a wonderful person to get to know. And if you’re very lucky, she’ll include you on the list of folks who get a loaf of the Irish Soda Bread she makes every year on St. Patrick’s Day.

Malgorzata Dubert, also known as Mal, is our Assistant Vice President and Treasury Management Officer at our Park Ridge branch. Born and raised in Poland, Mal wanted to help people. So, her dream was to be a teacher. She received her MA in History with an Education minor and was indeed a teacher for a few years. However, the United States beckoned, and Mal moved here in her late 20’s. In America, she quickly realized the importance of financial awareness and money management. And so, Mal continued her focus on helping others by becoming a Banker!
Returning to school, Mal got her MBA at St. Francis University. And her banking career began!
Mal joined Lakeside Bank in 2019 with over 10 years of banking experience. And what great experience! Personal Banker, Business Banking Specialist, Branch Manager, and Treasury Management Specialist.
Mal is based at our new Park Ridge branch where she helps businesses of all sizes better manage their cash flow and streamline business operations. With her expertise and the Treasury Management tools Lakeside offers, she helps businesses save money and time. Mal’s always been about helping people! And businesses!
Mal became a huge Blackhawks fan, so much so she named her dog “Sharpie”, representing her love for the game … and to recall his incredibly sharp puppy teeth. Mal also follows football (that’s American football) and plays in the fantasy league. Mal loves the atmosphere, food, and beverages at American sports games.
Stop by Park Ridge and meet Mal. She’s here to help. Which is what has always driven her!
Lisa Formanski, Vice President and Compliance Officer, is based at our Park Ridge Branch. She's been at Lakeside for 9 years. She has 46 years of banking experience including bookkeeping, teller, accounting, personal banking, branch manager, and compliance.
Lisa has been married for over 30 years (amazing!), and has 3 children who are now adults, and 9 grandchildren. She also has some furry friends that are a part of her family; 1 dog and 4 cats. Lisa loves to cook and travel, especially to the land of magic: Disney World!
Stop by Park Ridge and meet Lisa. Along with banking advice, you might be able to convince her to share a recipe or two!
